Alaa, a Syrian refugee stuck in Beirut has only 5 days to fix his application for Europe – or stay and live a life as an illegal in Beirut, with the ever present risk of immediate deportation back to a war zone. With no stable job opportunities, a dwindling cash supply and a few questionable friendships, will young Alaa do anything to leave a city that has taken more Syrian refugees than any other?

One of the most promising talents to come out of the Gulf, Five Days Grace is Saleh Nass’ debut feature film as writer/director. A graduate of Television Production from Bournemouth Media School and current MA in Film from Raindance in the UK, his award-winning shorts Game, Central Market and PickUp were Official Selections at over 50 festivals worldwide
