Poisonous Roses
In a nonlinear narrative, we follow three main characters dissatisfied with their lives – trying to search for love and future, surrounded by corruption, class and police state. Saqr is a handsome young man from the Tanneries, studied Law, works and lives with his mother and sister Tahia. Saqr shares with the latter a weird and unusual relationship. One day, he meets Nahed, a bourgeoisie doctor, and they start a relation. Tahia is jealous and tries to get him back in every way.

About The Director
The filmmaker Fawzi Saleh holds a degree in screenwriting from the higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo (2009). After graduating, he started working on a feature documentary “Living Skin”, about children working in the tanneries, which was completed in 2010. “Living Skin” had a good critical reputation, participated in a number of international film festivals, and has won several awards.
