Tangled in Imbroglio

“Ouaki” is a brothel of men that has existed in the heart of the Medina of Tunis. The authorities closed this place after the independence of Tunisia in 1956. The director looks for this place disappeared through a cinematographic journey and finds traces of other brothels of men.

About The Director

Between 2006 and 2012, Walid Tayaa has directed four short films: “Bahja”, “Life”, “Prestige”, and “Boulitik”, in addition to two documentaries: “The Passionate” and “Diary of an Ordinary Citizen”. He is currently finishing the post-production of his first feature film “Fataria” and “Tangled in Imbroglio” (work in progress).
