About The Director

Damien Ounouri is an Algerian director and producer based in Algiers. His documentary Fidaï (2012), co-produced by the Chinese director Jia Zhang-Ke, had its premiere at the Toronto TIFF. His medium-length fiction Kindil El Bahr (2016) had its premiere at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.

About The Producer

Adila Bendimerad is an Algerian actress, script-writer and producer. In 2011, Adila created Taj Intaj to promote young Algerian talents, such as The Days Before by Karim Moussaoui, which has received worldwide acclaim. She acted in many films such as The Repentant and The Rooftops by Merzak Allouache, and Still Burning by Georges Hachem. Her latest film “Aya”, won more than 20 awards worldwide.
