About The Director

Amira Géhanne Khalfallah was born and grew up in Algeria before moving to Morocco in 2007. She writes for cinema, television and also theatre. “Essebat” is the first film she directed in 2017, a short movie supported by Instituto Cervantes in Casablanca. Currently, she is writing and developing her first feature narrative film entitled “The Return of The Jerboas”.

About The Producer

Jaber Debzi is a film producer. He lives and works in Algiers. In 2015, he founded his production company Prolégomènes, with which he produced two feature films, “Until the Birds Return” by Karim Moussaoui, selected in « Un Certain Regard » at the 2017 Cannes festival; and “Atlal”, a documentary by Djamel Kerkar, many times awarded at the FID Marseille 2016.
