Rural Encounters
Rural Encounters on Environment and Film takes place yearly in Kobayat, bringing the best of international cinema to the residents of Akkar, and bringing their stories to the forefront of the national debate on the environmental crisis.
One month prior to the festival, a group of young locals from Akkar participate in a filmmaking workshop, designed to encourage them to use cinema as a tool for raising the issues that matter to them.
